Expertise
As a Lactation Education Counselor, Brittney believes that a mother’s body is inherently designed to nourish her baby, and that her intuition is a powerful guide throughout the journey.
Her philosophy centers on minimal intervention, honoring the natural rhythm between mother and baby while offering gentle, evidence-based guidance when support is needed. She strives to create a calm, empowering space where mothers feel seen, heard, and confident in their ability to care for their babies.
Through compassionate education and individualized support, she helps mothers overcome challenges, build trust in themselves, and cultivate a breastfeeding experience that feels both peaceful and sustainable. Her goal is not to take over the process, but to walk alongside each mother while offering reassurance, knowledge, and encouragement as she discovers what works best for her and her baby.
Professional Achievements
In addition to her professional training, she brings both lived experience and hands-on learning into her practice. As a mother of two whom she successfully breastfed, she understands the emotional and physical nuances of the journey firsthand. She completed her lactation education through the UCSD Extension Lactation Program and gained valuable clinical exposure working in a birth center, where she shadowed midwives and other holistic-minded healthcare practitioners.
She is committed to continued growth, regularly learning from peers and staying connected within the lactation and holistic health community. To further support mothers, she offers free support at a weekly breastfeeding support group every Monday at 10am, at Cafe of Life Chiropractic. There, she creates a space for connection, encouragement, and shared wisdom.
